Bryn Melyn Care is seeking to recurit an experienced psychotherapist for its clinical service. We are looking to recruit someone able to work therapeutically with young people (12-18 years).
Bryn Melyn Care provides specialist residential care for looked after young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Integrated therapeutic care for young people is at the heart of Bryn Melyn Care's philosophy.
Bryn Melyn Care's in-house clinical service currently comprises practictioners from forensic psychology and psychotherapy backgrounds carrying out direct therapeutic work with young people and working in a consultative capacity with other staff as part of a team. There are opportunities to deliver training and contribute in other ways to the development of therapeutic practice within the organisation. The therapeutic approach is eclectic with methods including CBT, person-centred and existential psychotherapy.
Applicants should have a recognised postgraduate qualification in psychotherapy and should be accredited witha recognised body (e.g. BACP, UKCP or BABCP).
You will have experience of working with people with complex needs and challenging behaviours, and ideally this experience will be with young people. You will work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be committed to integrated therapeutic care.

The post will be based in Whitchurch and will work across two clinical sites, Whitchurch and Telford. There is an expectation of travel as part of the role. It is a full-time position but we will consider employment on a part-time basis.
