Students and staff at The Derwen School have been using their time recently to get creative. They have been getting crafty with paper, chalks and paint, recording music and playing instruments at a studio, and even joining in on Joe Wick’s P.E lessons!
Students and staff have been engaging with a range of art this term. The pupils have made some beautiful daffodils from paper craft and included relevant key words and dates like “St. Davids Day” within them. They also experimented with chalks and black paint to create silhouettes.
The fun doesn’t just stop at arts and crafts at The Derwen School! Pupils have been experiencing recording, singing and playing a range of instruments at the Wrexham Vic Studios. Pupils have really enjoyed this part of the curriculum and gaining Agored Cymru awards whilst having fun!
Along with adults and children alike across the whole of the UK, students and staff have been taking part in PE with Joe Wicks. They have learnt some new and tough exercises, everyone enjoyed the sessions but felt the aches the following morning too! Well done all!
