We are absolutely delighted to let everyone know about the fundraising events that were arranged to raise money for Children in Need day at Smallbrook School and Calcott Farm!
On the day, Smallbrook students enjoyed watching 3 members of school management team get waxed!
They then took part in fun activities throughout the day including: designing their own Children in Need t-shirts, taking part in the ‘Great Egg Race Challenge’ and then watching their eggs be thrown off of the school roof to see if their eggs survived, followed by building free standing structures made from uncooked spaghetti and marshmallows and finally, in the afternoon, all students enjoyed watching films of their choosing.
At the end of the day, the whole school came back together for 2 awards to be announced. A KS2 student won a £10 voucher for winning the Children in Need t-shirt design of the day! Following that, a year 8 student was over the moon when he found out he had guessed Deputy Dog’s birthday (28th December) correctly and won a huge teddy bear – which he has named Deputy Bear!
Also having their own fundraising events were staff and young people at Calcott Farm, they held a table tennis tournament and did a coin count of 2p’s. Altogether they raised an amazing £127.15! Well done to everyone at Calcott!
We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who donated, dressed up, took part, delivered the fun activities, spread the word and most importantly, made sure our young people had a fantastic day!
